Hundra - AMIGA
A downloadable game
HUNDRA v1.2 IS NOW AVAILABLE !!!
Hundra v1.2 is a 8 bits port game (Amstrad / ZX-Spectrum / MSX) for Amigas computers AGA (It is an AGA game because it has 64 colors and other redpill features).
This port was developed by Amiga Factory in 2025 using the REDPILL game creation engine (Zener). It uses entirely new graphics created by Amiga Factory in 64 colors. Parallax backgrounds, lighting effects, particle effects, and other features added in the latest versions of REDPILL have been added. The music is entirely taken from TMA. A high-quality splash HAM screen has been added, as well as another one as a tribute to the Amstrad CPC version. It contains an Easter egg reminiscent of another game from the Spanish golden age software. Find out what it is and how to view it!
CHANGES V1.2:
- Added a background image to the menu
- Added a flickering lighting effect to the menu background
- Minor change to the victory image background
- Changed all exterior-facing backgrounds, making them clearer.
CHANGES V1.1:
- Narrower holes for easier jumping
- Wider collision boxes for some enemies to improve impact
- Wider shot collision boxes to improve impact
HISTORY: Jorund, king of the Vikings of the North, has been tricked by Loki, the god of lies, for entering the forbidden garden of the Norms. The other gods, outraged by such an offering, have imprisoned him in the kingdom of Lukx.
Hundra, Jorund's daughter, has managed to convince the gods that Loki is to blame, but she has not succeeded in freeing her father. The verdict has been passed, and they have no intention of backing down, although they authorize Hundra to come and rescue him.
Aware of the difficult task, Hundra visits the old sorcerer Kaldar for guidance on the best way to fulfill her mission. He says that if entering is difficult, leaving is even more so, and that she can only do so if she first finds the three sacred gems.
8 BITS VERSION: Hundra is a Spanish game created in 1988 by Zeus Software and published by Dinamic. It was programmed by Ricardo Puerto with graphics by Raúl López and music and effects by Javi Cubedo. It also features cover art by the renowned artist Luis Royo.
GOALS LEVEL 1: Find the three sacred gems and free Old Jorund.
Wanting to give more variety to the game and to pay homage to the 2nd installment of Dinamic games, I wanted to make a different second part and I thought about showing the return journey of Jorund and Hundra (aboard the Drakkar ship) to their native home, the Viking village.
GOALS LEVEL 2: Avoid obstacles and return home.
CONTROL OF HUNDRA:
Movement - Arrow Keys / Joystick
Jump - Up Key / Joystick Up
Shoot - Fire Key 1 / Joystick Button 1
Restart Character - Fire 2 (very useful if you fall into a trap)
Return to Menu - ESC
Quit Game - F10
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - AGA CPU: 68020 - RAM: 2 MB

amiga 500 OCS/ECS has its db9 port which can natively manage 3 buttons it would be cool to have at least a 2nd one to be able to jump!
I'd never thought about needing a jump button. And I've never seen a problem with doing it with the up directional key/stick. But your suggestion makes me realize that perhaps some users prefer to jump with a button rather than the up directional key. In fact, in my previous game, The Lost Pixel, I changed the jump from up to shoot, due to popular demand, but with Hundra, wanting to maintain the similarity with the original, I've kept it as it is now.
Changing it now is impossible because the assignable keys in Redpill are already filled with other commands like resetting the character (Shoot 2), going to the menu (ESC), and exiting the game (F2). So I apologize for not being able to satisfy your request. Big hug.
Great game, thanks.
Thanks for the vídeo Czas. You have to get past the enemies to reach the end, and only eliminate the ones that bother you, but don't try to kill them all. This is what the original game was like, and this version is identical. You can watch a long play of the game on my YouTube channel.
Thanks for this game. I'd love to see an ECS version of it
Thank you. That was the main idea behind making this game, so all of us Amiga fans could enjoy it. Yes, I know it's a port of an 8-bit platformer, but it was a dream come true to play it on my Amiga, and that's why I made it. I love reading comments from users who played the original game and appreciate the significant changes this version brings. So, thank you so much for your support. Hugs.
Tough but great fun. Cheeky little easter egg on the load screen - press the ESC key ; )
I knew I was going to like that easter egg XD. It refers to another 8-bit game, Game Over, whose second part was called Phantis. Tomorrow I'll upload a longplay of the game, in case you want to see it and learn how to beat it. Only if you've played the original 8-bit version is it easier to beat because you know what to do. If not, it's harder. I hope the game lives up to the original, my idea was to make the same game but with improved graphics. In the end I added so many new features that I lost count XD. I would have liked to give it a background with more colors but the limit of 16 colors didn't allow it and neither did I want that background to move, since it would have looked bad to have the mountains moving in a game with static screens or screen flippers. I hope that the feeling I had when playing it the first time on an Amstrad CPC is achieved with this version for Amiga. That's the main objective. A hug from Spain.
Nice game. This time a lot of games from Spanish developers, strong Amiga scene. I added it to my new video with other recently released games. Hope you like it.
